Natalie obtained an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences before graduating with her Master’s degree in Physiotherapy, both from McMaster University. She holds further certifications in the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) approach to Medical Acupuncture, IASTM (Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization), and the SFMA (Selective Functional Movement Assessment), a diagnostic tool to systematically find the underlying cause of pain. Natalie has completed several other post-graduate courses in areas including concussion management. She has also participated in performing evidence-based concussion baseline testing for young sports teams in the Guelph area to aid in more efficient identification of concussion injuries. Natalie is currently working towards her Diploma of Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy through the Orthopaedic Division of the CPA (Canadian Physiotherapy Association).
Natalie believes the key to successful treatment outcomes is a team approach between patient and physiotherapist in working towards patient goals. For each patient, Natalie will perform a detailed assessment and develop a comprehensive, individualized treatment plan to guide this process. Her treatment plan can include a combination of manual therapy, exercise prescription, education, and acupuncture.
