Garrison is a friendly and enthusiastic Registered Kinesiologist with a passion for health, fitness, and helping people reach their goals. His experience as a varsity athlete with hands-on education and clinical practice, has provided him with a unique perspective on the importance of movement for health and functioning. He believes that positive clinical outcomes are achieved by empowering the patient and prioritizing their individual goals and needs.
Garrison graduated from the University of Toronto with a Master of Professional Kinesiology, specializing in Exercise as Medicine, as well as an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology. He has contributed to and supported many areas of practice, including hospital and community health centre settings, strength and conditioning, occupational health, and ergonomics.
Garrison has experience assisting patients of all ages and abilities with both chronic and acute conditions, including musculoskeletal injuries. Through strong competencies in movement analysis, individualized program design, therapeutic exercise prescription, and a supportive coaching style, he aims to improve patient function, autonomy and long-term health outcomes. In his spare time, Garrison enjoys strength training, coaching football with the University of Guelph, and trying new recipes.
