South City is looking to hire a Physiotherapist!

By | Articles for health care professionals | No Comments

South City is currently looking to hire a Physiotherapist.  Position can be full or part-time, and would start April 2018.

You must be a registered physiotherapist, ideally with at least 2 years of orthopaedic experience, and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. Manual therapy and acupuncture/IMS/dry needling would be considered strong assets. Other areas of interest such as treatment of vestibular or TMJ conditions would also be very desirable. You need to have a strong work ethic, and must be comfortable with computers as all our charting is done “on-line”.

South City Physiotherapy is a multidisciplinary clinic with over twenty-five years of experience in providing physiotherapy, massage therapy, osteopathy, acupuncture/IMS, and bracing services. We have a well-established referral base of predominantly private patients with orthopaedic conditions.

We are looking for a strong candidate with excellent interpersonal skills – who can work independently, as well as collaboratively with other team members. South City would be a great place for a newer physiotherapist to learn, or for a more experienced one to collaborate with peers. We provide opportunities to receive mentoring with several FCAMPT and Chan Gunn IMS physiotherapists. South City also provides regular in-house clinical education sessions to respectfully learn from each other or from outside guest speakers. These sessions are most often focused on the improvement of treatment outcomes, and the patient experience – and on improving and updating our clinic skills.

At South City, physiotherapists have the option of booking 40 or 60 minute initial assessments – depending on the patient’s condition and professional treating preferences.  Follow-up treatments can be 20 or 30 minutes. Treatments are conducted in private rooms – all of which are equipped with mobilization beds, with access to all necessary modalities and a gym.

South City really is a great place to be.  We work hard, and are totally professional – but we are also a close knit, fun, supportive group that makes going to work something we look forward to.
